My daughter and my children's sister, Christa Romaine Collier, was found dead on September 19, 2014 at 301 1/2 19th St., in Dunbar, WV. When she was found, she had already been dead for weeks. This house has been abandoned for 12+ years and was condemned in 2012, yet it still stands. We spoke with many Dunbar residents and they ALL want it demolished and something positive be put in its stead. We walked the streets of Dunbar and started a petition and are needing your help to get the signatures needed to present to the City of Dunbar. There are no words to describe how it feels to look at this house knowing that Christa was found dead in the horrendous conditions we saw. It needs to come down so a beautiful home or park can be built in her memory. Please help our efforts in accomplishing our goal to honor Christa's memory by signing this petition and sharing it with your friends and family.

I am a long time friend of Christa Romaine Collier mom, this has been so hard on her and her family and this building has no purpose to be left standing and is only a place for more bad things to take place. Please remove this building.
Christa was my niece...perhaps if this abandoned house wouldn't have been there, things could have been different.
Tear down this condemned house, this haven of criminal activity, this death trap. Let's demolish this place where criminals hide and commit more crimes in such close proximity to sleeping neighbors. Let's do the right thing and get rid of this dark, disgusting place so that it doesn't claim more lives. Let's protect the neighborhood, not the criminals! Tear this house down now!
This house is right across from my family's house. I think it needs to be tore down asap.
Its a condemed abandoned building it shoulded be taken down and the land used for something else before the same tragity happens again
