homeless people in New Zealand are be ignored and cast aside like trash. we are bullied by police and local councils the man pictured in the photo Ben Hana aka blanket man died on the streets this isn't right no one should have to die on the streets something needs to be done about this we need a proper law bought in protecting homeless peoples rights. on any given night we get assaulted belongings and blankets stolen and urinated on verbally abused ... this is not on we are people to we just happen to be worse of than alot of people its time we stand up and make our voices heard there needs to be changes as this is costing lives
I have been reading the stories you all are sharing in the comments and they are truly heartbreaking. It humbles me to see so many people who care about these lives when others look away. This is really all down to your compassion and willingness to see our neighbors as human.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It is your passion that keeps this moving forward because I never imagined so many would care about this issue.

Homelessness is not a choice for many people, the prices of homes is so high many cannot afford, the government only care about the rich, it's time to change all of that, so lets make that change now, give these people a chance to have a better life, they deserve better. Respect costs nothing, help us to help them, give them the voice they need. thank u
