In June of 2015 NeuroDigital Technologies launched a Kickstarter that was featured as a staff favorite and quickly funded with over 350 backers and $150,000. Delivery of the device (which was shown to already have a working prototype in June of 2015) was scheduled to be delivered in late 2015 early 2016. After providing slow updates, backers were promised that they would get their Gloves, but may be as late as 2017 (In 2016 working demos were held with the item at various trade shows and conferences). The company went so far as to claim that they had started shipping them in late 2017. Then in mid 2018 the company said they would ship something (for real this time, don't worry about the lies from last year) but it would be a stripped down version missing functionality that had supposedly been working years before. No one ever got anything.

So where did the money actually go? It went into developing a real prototype of the device (Avatar VR) that NeuroDigital then used to pitch and enter into Google's competitive Startup Residency program. Google is now helping to fund this company, and develop this item further - and NeuroDigital reaps enormous benefits off the money and trust that had been given to them by their Kickstarter Backers. In return, this backers received nothing but empty promises, lies, and ultimately silence.

At the very least a full refund and apology should be given. All the backers ever wanted was the product they were promised in 2015, and with Google's investment in creating a commercial product off the Kickstarter prototype then they should have the ability to do at least a refund if not more.

Please sign this petition if you want to see Google and/or NeuroDigital take action to remedy this injustice and near criminal treatment of their Kickstarter Backers. In addition to this one case the undersigned also ask Google to increase their vetting process for Google Startup companies to make sure that they have not been part of any illicit or indecent activity in the past in order to achieve their goals.
