We, the undersigned Residents and Friends of Goodyear Heights, desire to register our support of the effort to obtain official designation of the original Goodyear Heights development as a Historic Neighborhood of both local and national significance.
We ask that the City of Akron provide assistance to these recognition efforts as well as providing appropriate markers and signage to designate the location of the original Goodyear-developed allotment as conceived by Frank Seiberling and designed by Warren Manning.

I have lived in the Heights for a little under a year. I think that it is important for cities to protect older assets of the community. The buildings, parks, and other parts of the neighborhood need help and this is a first good step.
I just bought my first home here in Goodyear Heights. I have loved this house for many years, and i am so so happy to call this lively place my home. I love the architecture, the charm and the history of Goodyear Heights. And I believe that this unique neighborhood has historical relevance. I am happy to sign this petition.
I have lived here all my life, my parents settled here as young children. They would be proud to know our Goodyear Heights has been declared historical.
When I visited this area I thought the history behind the houses was very much a part of not only Ohio"s history but also that of our nation. Please recognize and uphold the significance of this neighborhood for t future generations!
My husband has lived here his whole life. We have lived here as a married couple for 33 years. Our daughter and her family also bought a home here...6 years now. This is not just a neighborhood, it is our home.
I live here and I like it and it's old and it keeps getting older and if it keeps getting older we gotta keeps giving better good to it.

Sitting on the front porch, walking with my family to the local store for ice cream, playing baseball in the park, watching the original "Jungle Book" at the Linda Theater, actually knowing the names of your neighbors; beautiful memories woven into my childhood!
