We, the undersigned, desire that the Rossville Historical Preservation Overlay District be retained to protect and preserve the historic character of the Rossville Historic District.

We URGE the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, and the Planning and Zoning Board to retain the Rossville Historical Preservation Overlay District.

Updates

December 8, 2015

The level of support for protecting the Rossville Historic District has reached a significant point. This momentum demonstrates how deeply our community values the preservation of our local character. We will now carry this energy forward as we engage with the municipal boards.

You must do whatever needs to be done to save these irreplaceable treasures. Cookie cutter houses are everywhere. Roseville has a special charm due to this area.

I do live on Highway 194, and my husband and I are very much against you making changes to this Historic District.

Keeping Rossville quaint and within the historical registrar's regulations is what makes your town unique. Changes could be detrimental to home values.

I have been to serveral home tours. The historic part is part of what makes Rossville as it is the history. You should preserve history not destroy it!

Folks drive out from Memphis to enjoy this quaint town and eat at the Wolf River Cafe. The Wolf River board walk is a sleeper. I have told people about it that live around here. They are amazed at what is in our "backyard". In America we are losing everyday to political correctness what made small towns home to hard working people. Must we lose this historic district? For what purpose? Build or develop the land nearby if you must, leave our historic district out of your plans to exploit an area just for profit.

Having frequently visited Rossville, I've found that the historic district sets this community apart. It provides a unique, nostalgic feeling. This part of the Rossville community needs to be preserved.
