This petition is to request the Bridgewater-Raritan School District to introduce Hindi as a foreign language.
•More than 14% of the population in Somerset County is inhabited by Asians

•Chinese is offered as a foreign language and Hindi should be as well

•Although there are many dialects in the Indian languages, Hindi is the national language

•Many American companies are now opening new branches in India and it is helpful to know the language as well as one would know Spanish, French, etc.

Please sign this petition to represent your support. Thank you.

Why is this not already an option? So many students here speak it at home and deserve to learn it properly in school.

Totally agree. If Chinese is offered then Hindi makes perfect sense. Expand the curriculum already.

My kids would love to take this class. It is about time the district reflects the community we actually live in.

Great idea. Knowing Hindi is a huge plus for business these days. Our schools need to keep up with the real world.

It is crazy that we have such a large Indian population but zero classes. Make it happen.
