We are petitioning for support for the first state-funded Hindu school in West London – we need your help! We are trying to get 10,000 signatures, which will be presented to, amongst others, the Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove and MP Mary Macleod to gain their support for this project. The local community is applying for a Hindu school in West London that would be based on the following principals: - Educational Excellence - Character Development - Spiritual Insight There are 4 such schools in other parts of the country and they have had great success, including Krishna Avanti in Harrow which has been 5 times oversubscribed. Clearly, compared to every other faith, there are very few state-funded Hindu schools. There is a clear need for such a school in our area as there are few, if any, outstanding non-faith based schools – which puts Hindu children at a disadvantage. Please show us your support by taking a moment to sign this petition.

Reaching this point in our campaign has been a long and draining road. Seeing this growth gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward despite the obstacles ahead.

My neighbors have been talking about this for months. Seems like a solid plan.

Its about time we had one in West London. The Harrow school is amazing and our kids deserve the same opportunity.

My kids go to a local school and there isnt any diversity in the curriculum. This would be a great addition to the neighborhood.

LONG OVERDUE. Why should we have to travel so far for our children to learn about their own culture while getting an excellent education?

The demand is definitely there. Every time I talk to other parents they say the same thing. Lets get this built.
