HEY, SACOG….FUND THE “D2” SOUTHEAST CONNECTOR !
Rancho Murieta, and Eastern Sacramento County desperately need ALL WEATHER ACCESS TO EMERGENCY SERVICES. New Year’s flooding on the Cosumnes River left our 6,000 residents stranded in three directions. The nearest, reachable hospital was 31 miles away on treacherous windblown streets with downed trees and debris. The “D2” eliminates flooding, improves drainage and ends the deplorable road conditions on the current Grant Line Road. The “NEW D2” is a critical part of our community evacuation plan. Rancho Murieta is a CALFIRE “HIGH RISK” COMMUNITY ! We are desperate for a this critical escape route and LIVES MAY DEPEND ON IT! The “NEW D2” modernizes the intersection of Grant Line Road and SR16. “THE NEW D2” eases legendary commuter congestion. We rely HEAVILY on Rancho Cordova and Folsom for medical and retail services THE NEW D2 saves gas, reduces carbon and is an economic engine. SACOG has denied this funding before. HELP PROTECT US IN FIRE AND FLOOD! Fund safe and efficient rural roads. Prove your commitment to rural communities. WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO THROW RANCHO MURIETA A LIFELINE !

Watching the count approach one hundred fills me with hope but we need to break through this threshold before presenting our needs to SACOG. Please help me get us across this line today. My neighbors and I are still living with the fear that the next flood will cut us off from help again.

The flooding issue and being stranded that we went through recently was scary. Please address this potentially life threatening situation. We may not be so lucky next time.
This is a critical project for Rancho Murieta where I’ve lived for 27 years. Recent flooding in the New Year storms landlocked us and prevented workers from coming to RM as well as RM residents getting to jobs in Sacramento and surrounding cities. Please fund this project.
As a medical provider living in this community, it is imperative that we have reliable access to medical services, fire services and just be able to reach our homes without tearing up our vehicles on a road that is one of the worst in the area. Please find this project
Please do not only think this extremely valuable connector is essential for the 6,000 residents of Rancho Murieta but also for all of our surrounding neighbors and the safety of the thousands that utilize Grant Line currently and in the future as all of our communities continue to grow.
The modernization of the Jackson Hwy/Grantline intersection and Grantline Road to East Bidwell is imperative to the safety of the Sloughhouse and Rancho Murieta communities during emergencies and for daily convenience to support these growing communities.
To ensure the safety and ability to access all weather emergency services by the residents of the Rancho Murieta Community and Eastern Sacramento County the funding of D2 Southeast Connector is crucial. To allow such to go unfunded will surely result in greater expenditures of equipment and manpower to navigate the current road and drainage issues in order to provide emergency services. Additionally and of significant importance is recognizing that not only will the community and area residents continue to be at risk but so too will our first responders. Your commitment to the “New D2” is of the utmost importance. Thank you.

As a 79 year old widowed senior citizen, in an emergency situation, I live in FEAR of not being able to get to a hospital in time to save my life, or to a safe location in the event of fire or flooding. PLEASE fund this escape route!
