To ensure the safety and ability to access all weather emergency services by the residents of the Rancho Murieta Community and Eastern Sacramento County the funding of D2 Southeast Connector is crucial. To allow such to go unfunded will surely result in greater expenditures of equipment and manpower to navigate the current road and drainage issues in order to provide emergency services. Additionally and of significant importance is recognizing that not only will the community and area residents continue to be at risk but so too will our first responders. So I live in Wilton and Highway 16, Grantline and Dillard Road are the only roads that get us out of the area to go into Sacramento, Folsom and Elk Grove and these roads were impassable due to flooding during the recent storms. With the increase in population due to the housing growth, and for safety it’s imperative that the roads be made accessible to all the additional traffic.

It took me 3 hours and a 100 mile detour to bring my wife home from the hospital following surgery on December 31. It was a dangerous trip. We need a passible corridor.

Please address our road issues for the Sloughhouse and Rancho murieta residents. Our roads can no longer support the existing residents let alone the increased proposed new residents. Our lives are impacted when we are not able to travel our roads. This means getting our kids to school, getting ourselves to work, doctor appointments, or shopping for necessary items. Thank goodness no one that I know of needed to be transported to a hospital during our last shut in. Please review these concerns as it affects thousands of residents in the Murieta area.
