The local planning authority has officially denied the wind farm application for the area around Hermitage Castle. We have confirmed with the regional council that the site will remain protected from development. I will continue to monitor the zoning records to ensure this safeguard remains in place.
Stop the destruction of our heritage by building a wind farm alongside one of our great historical monuments - Hermitage Castle in the Borders of Scotland.
I have finalized the formal brief questioning the proposed wind farm placement near Hermitage Castle and submitted it to the local planning office. We are now awaiting a confirmed time for a consultation with the heritage preservation board to present these concerns.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Why do they have to put them right next to a historic landmark?? Find somewhere else.

Keep those ugly towers away from our history. The view is ruined enough as it is.

Ridiculous idea. Tourism will drop if the area is industrialised. Leave the borders alone.
