this is an attempt to stop www.streetlegalevents.com from happen again ,it is an event that all true car enthusiasts would do well to steer clear of and it recently hit the local papers after police raided the last event and closed it down for various reasons and its really not putting the rest of us in a good light as we are as always getting tarred with the same brush here's just a few reasons why it was stopped 1. lack of safety- the was a coned off area (and i do mean coned) where cars were doing burnouts and attempting to drift in their fwd corsa's with bread crates at the back wheels 2. the organiser claims that all money raised goes to charit - after the last event 2 days later he went out and bought a new 4x4 vehicle and after this event his partners facebook status says the whole house is being decorated and there's no evidence of the money reaching any charity 3.the organiser claims all local resident, council and police were informed and that the events are legal- the local residents complained of the noise the event was closed down and the police and council stated in the paper they knew nothing of the event 4.the organiser has been asked to provide proof of safety measures that were in place and as yet none has been provided and there seems there was no liability insurance or any other insurance for that matter and not even st johns ambulance was present incase of any incidents i could go on and on about why you might want to sign this but im positive thats enought especially if you read the article from the paper and the comments http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/news/Illegal-car-meeting-recipe-disaster-say-police/article-1285732-detail/article.htmlauthid=93JqzyocuNyrcKeGrEr7ClooTK2WkwmFdZQaT9zVkXnOObxi1251932048235 you may not think this concerns you but im sure you are all aware that one idiot in a modified car does something bad then the authorities come down on all of us please sign it and hopefully the local councils and police will see we want nothing to do with type of thing and it doesnt have our support
