West Valley High Student accused of posting threating message online this was YakmiaHerald news the day of March 11, 2016. It goes on to tell, A West Valley High School student was released on his own recognizance Thursday after Yakima County sheriff’s deputies alleged he posted a threatening message on an online social media site the day before.
A security guard told deputies the student posted an obscenity-laced message on Instagram that included the words “I’ll kill you all” under a picture showing the acronym WVHS crossed out and BHS, which a probable-cause affidavit said stood for Bothell High School, underlined and the number 100.
The school was not locked down during the 8 a.m. incident, Chief Criminal Deputy John Durand said. Investigators said the message appeared to be directed at two people the student knew.
The 18 year old man is name Diego Young.
I have known Diego since 8th grade I'm a senior now and in that time i became close to him consider him family and that"s why I'm here telling this story. Diego is looking at a Felony Harassment charge that's a minimum of 1-3 months in jail. A Felony is life changing but not in the good way sometimes we let our anger get the best of us and that what happen to Diego.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it makes me feel like maybe things are actually going to change for Diego. It is just wild to see so many people who get it because I know the kind of person he really is deep down and seeing everyone else recognize that too is honestly overwhelming in the best way.

I played football with Diego in high school for two years and have known him since my sophomore year in high school. He is a good kid who just made a mistake. In my opinion, there is no way that this was a serious message.
He wasn't deliberately threatening anyone, he used a poor choice of words irresponsibly. But doesn't deserve a life ruining felony for it.
I know Diego didn't mean any harm. Maybe the people who the message was directed towards should be questioned based on the fact they were harassing him and provoked him to make this action
Diego Young is my best friend, and its not just cause we get along like friends and have common interests. Diego Young is a huge teddy bear, a harmless soul. This image of his "threat" was just a cry for help. This was not legitimate threat that would ever approach anything of that gruesome magnitude. I love Diego and there are endless reasons why.
Diego is a great buddy of mine we had many plans on taking machining at west valley high school and going to Boeing to work after high school and things were going real well in the program I really hope I get to proceed with the plans we made.
Diego is a nice guy and I doubt this was ever meant to be this serious. It was a dangerous joke to make but a felony is too far.
Thank you all for stepping up and advocating for my son Diego. As you have all stated, we know that Diego is a great young man. Unfortunately for him, a simple private conversation was taken out of context and blossomed to what it is today. Diego would have NEVER hurt anybody. He might be a giant but he is also gentle, and wouldn't be the face of a threat or act of violence. I think the police and the school administation have blown this out of proportion. Knowing Diego personally and being good friends with him at Bothell leads me to believe that the "alleged" threat is unrealistic. It was just some trashtalk that was interpreted the wrong way.
