SUPPORT BARDENS EXTENDED HOURS PLANNING APPLICATION

Bardens is one of Hackney’s best known independent Café/Bars and is a unique place for the local community to meet and socialize. We have applied for an extension to our licensed hours (8am to 11pm Sunday to Tuesday, 8am - Midnight Wednesday & Thursday, 8am to 1am Friday & Saturday) to help us compete with new bars and clubs. A planning application has been submitted to Hackney Council, who will shortly decide whether to give the go ahead. Please sign this petition to let Councillors know the local community support Bardens.

We, the undersigned, are in support of this proposal. We believe that the extension of Bardens' licensed hours will be good for the area because:

- Independent businesses in Hackney like Bardens are an important part of our diverse community and we want our council to support local businesses.

- Bardens is a well run establishment and an extention to their hours would not adversely affect Dalston.

- Bardens, in one form or another has been in Dalston for nearly 9 years and has been an important factor in the cultural regeneration.
