Tom and Emma have been enriching Wimbledon Village with their beautiful flower displays for 20 years.
Their stall, The Stand, on the High Street (opposite Rose & Crown) is under threat of closure, as recently the council have asked them to remove the kiosk each night in accordance with their licence.
This is unmanageable as the kiosk gets blocked in by bike racks, telephone box, electric charging meters, pizza van, traffic lights and continued enforcement will result in the business failing.
Let’s not lose another small family business.
These are just a few reasons to support The Stand
- Tom's Flower stall enhances the attractive street scene of our High Street and brings such joy and happiness to our local community and visitors driving past, shopping, and walking on Wimbledon Common.
- As one of the few remaining independent businesses in our Village, it is crucial that we support Tom and Emma in their fight for survival.
- The fabulous floristry arrangements, bouquets, Xmas trees and plants increase foot fall to our High Street and other businesses in the area.
- This modern handsome kiosk provides a space to arrange flowers, store vital supplies and provides shelter from wind, rain, and heat.
- It’s a meeting place for people to catch up on village news.
