The city council officially rescinded the development permit for the Sycamore BMX site this morning. We are now transitioning into oversight meetings to ensure the land remains zoned for recreational use. Thank you for maintaining the pressure until this final resolution was secured.

This place was a second home to me. I would not be the person I am without my time spent there and the relationships I built because of my involvement. Please do NOT allow the city of Simi Valley to lose such an important resource for its children and families.
Sycamore BMX not only helps "keeping kids clean in the dirt". Families from outside Simi Valley come to join in the racing. Those families spend money at our local businesses while they are here in Simi Valley. The track is good for Simi!
I grew up racing BMX and as a parent look forward to spending time with my son at the track. It's a great family atmosphere and a nice alternative to having your kids inside on their electronic devices. Please save Sycamore BMX!
It's a shame that the elected officials of the Parks and recreation board would go against their word and take away a valuable outlet for the youth of Simi Valley. I doubt a baseball or soccer league would get the same treatment.
A strange member of Ventura County since 1978 my husband raced at this track in the 80’s and 90’s all 3 of my boys raced here . This is an historic part of extreme sports in Ventura County the 1st!!! Also a place for kids who don’t want to be that soccer ayso kid.
I miss the Sycamore BMX track.

This track is priceless. My boy rode on this track when he was younger and learned some of his first lessons in sportsmenship, competition, and hard work. Closing the track without an alternative location would be a great loss for the community.
