The property where Mamma runs her kitchen in Fairhope, Alabama has been handed over to someone else. A little lady who we endearingly call Mamma owns a little kitchen in the back of Deli Depot called SoulFul Deli. She has been there for many years & is successful, & she is considered to be a staple in our community. She cooks up a storm of soul food like fried chicken, BBQ, mashed potatoes & gravy, mac & cheese…..cornbread!!!! We all love it, & we go to Deli Depot gas station mostly because she is there.
The new owners or managers of the property have decided to evict her & she is devastated. In fact, we all are devastated.
Some of us would like to reach out to the new owners but we don’t know who they are just yet. So I decided to start this petition to ask the new owners/management to reconsider evicting Mamma. She doesn’t need to be going anywhere. This is her heart & soul & we all love her here & want her to stay. We go to Deli Depot for a few things here & there like gas or ice. But if I can’t smell her soul food when I walk in, well, it just won’t be the same.
Mamma’s heart is breaking. Please don’t do this. Please let her stay. She is a part of Fairhope & we support each other’s businesses here.
We shop local & she is local. Thank you!

The only reason I go to The Deli Depot is to eat at SoulFul Deli. If Miss Liz leaves, she takes me with her.
Let Momma stay that will be the worse decision ever to lose her cause she is one of the most amazing lady's I ever met food always good and always so friendly with encouraging words if I have a bad day I'll just go see her she'll make it so much better it's not just about the food it's her spirit always bright and we love her dearly LET MOMMA STAY
This lady is literally momma for me. She has shared and helped console me threw losing my dad, nowhere to stay and just someone to talk to. She is a friend! She is a part of the community and deserves to stay.
Mama is a Fairhope icon and to know her is to love her! We can't lose this beautiful to corporate greed!
Keep this sweet lady at the store. She has been cooking for the folks of Fairhope for many years and we support her. To give her two weeks notice to be out is insane. She brings business into the Gas Station.
