Our Bowling at Riu Belplaya Hotel, Torremolinos is closing after 23 years. The Riu group have other plans for the area which we accept. However this wonderful sport which has been enjoyed by all ages and by disabled persons will now come to an end unless we can make the ' powers that be ' understand the urgency to replace our Green so that Spanish people along with Ex pats and holiday makers from worldwide may continue to play this amazing sport while on the Costa del Sol

I have requested a formal meeting with the local municipal sports council to discuss available land for a replacement facility. A draft proposal outlining the accessibility requirements for disabled players is currently being prepared for submission to hotel management.

23 years on the coast! This Bowls Green has welcomed so many people, holiday makers, Bowlers, expats. They have supported and returned year after year only to be told, NO MORE! It's a great shame that this Bowls Green at Belplaya Rui Hotel will be bulldozed with no thought for the people who have over the years supported the Hotel with its Bowlers from all over. So many people are going to be affected by this very poor decision by the Rui Hotel, shame on you, you have no loyalty to the people that matter!
I have been at least 6 times to either the Belplaya or the Costa Lago. Bringing between 40/50 other bowlers. I think RIU are making a big mistake by taking away the bowling green. I hope you will have success in having your own green so that all ex pats & holiday makers can once again enjoy bowling inTorremolinos.
Need to keep as many greens as possible open along the coast.
This is so sad for many people it keeps so many of us fit to play bowls.
We can't afford to lose sush a great asset for people to play and keep fit
Played there many times. If lost, I would not stay at the hotel's again.
The Bowling Green gave so much pleasure to lots and lots of people,EX PATS as well as holiday makers young and old.

With belplaya bowls green closing in October a new bowls green will be needed. At there are too many closing, this will be a big blow to us who like to bowl Belplaya had achieved do much this year for the area and having 6 members in the Team Malaga who beat the Spanish national team.something needs to be done for all to enjoy this sport.
