Played there many times. If lost, I would not stay at the hotel's again.

Belplaya was the first club I joined I then went on to play for Spain Riu sponsored me in Portugal! It's a great sport c'mon Riu help the sport once again!!!

This green gave enjoyment and exercise to all nationalities who stayed at the hotel and is the home of the very successful Belplaya bowls club. This closure is devastating news for everyone. Lots of bowls tours stay at the hotel to play on site., they will be extremely disappointed. Please re think Riu management???

This is the home of the current Tiger League champions and it is unthinkable that they should not be able to defend their title next season given the number of outstanding top class players they have in their ranks. I sometimes wonder if the people making these decisions are becoming a little 'anti-British' in the views, given the Spanish Government's recent published comments about withdrawing subsidies from the Spanish National Bowls Team because there were no Spanish Nationals in the squad. We need to pull together on this issue ,and become more proactive in marketing the many benefits of the sport of bowls and in encouraging people of all nationalities and ages to take the sport up.

I am fully behind this cause and agree that another 8 rink green will be of huge benefit and enjoyment to ex pats and visiting teams.

With belplaya bowls green closing in October a new bowls green will be needed. At there are too many closing, this will be a big blow to us who like to bowl
Belplaya had achieved do much this year for the area and having 6 members in the Team Malaga who beat the Spanish national team.something needs to be done for all to enjoy this sport.

Disgraceful we as the Belplaya Bowls club members have supported and entertained the Hotel Rui visiting teams and guest Bowlers over a number of years to be put on the Scapheap. A very sad day for Belplaya, Money Rules OK!

23 years on the coast! This Bowls Green has welcomed so many people, holiday makers, Bowlers, expats. They have supported and returned year after year only to be told, NO MORE! It's a great shame that this Bowls Green at Belplaya Rui Hotel will be bulldozed with no thought for the people who have over the years supported the Hotel with its Bowlers from all over. So many people are going to be affected by this very poor decision by the Rui Hotel, shame on you, you have no loyalty to the people that matter!

Bowling allows people to maintain a fitness regime and is widely enjoyed by Young and old alike and to remove it will effect the Spanish economy as it brings in a lot of bowlers from all over who enjoy the sport of bowling the sun.

I have been at least 6 times to either the Belplaya or the Costa Lago. Bringing between 40/50 other bowlers. I think RIU are making a big mistake by taking away the bowling green. I hope you will have success in having your own green so that all ex pats & holiday makers can once again enjoy bowling inTorremolinos.
