Midland is in desperate need of a splash pad for the kids to play in at the park. Little Lake is not an ideal place to swim in and a splash pad is a better choice.
A splash pad downtown will attract tourist from their boats to give the kids a place to play, while mom or dad can shop on King. And will also draw people from the hotels to play and shop downtown. This could potentially encourage businesses into unused store fronts, buildings, and be a place of joy for all around the town.
Don't see how it could possibly be fought. We have them all through Toronto, great to cool off the kids while they play in the park, or even the adults for that matter. They are great for toddlers. I don't see why you wouldn't put one in. Save people from swimming in Little Lake.
My kids would love this so much. Its way to hot in the summer and the lake isnt always clean enough to swim in. Please make this happen!
MIDLAND NEEDS THIS. every other town around here has one. why are we always the last to get anything fun for the families.
