As a former majorette, I feel a band is incomplete without these assets. A majorette is not just a "vulgar dancer" but she is an essential part of the band that gives it an extra spunk during performances. You have a dance team to dance with music. All we need now are majorettes to dance under the direction of the band.

Seeing one hundred people support the return of majorettes to our band is a reminder of how many of us value this tradition. This threshold shows me that the pride we feel for our school runs deep.

Afterward coaching 16 years, I feel that the more opportunities for young ladies to have will be great for the communitity. Majorettes can get scholarships just like any other sport and believe that Central should allow it.
As band president I feel as if the band should add another piece to our puzzle. Most people ask why we do not have majorettes and there's no accurate answer to the question. This also adds attention to the band program and should bring more members to the band this year and the years to come. Those are my thoughts. -TPW
I Would Love To See An Majorrette Being Apart Of The Band Or Just The Team Period They Add Life. Back When I Was In School I Was One So Sharing That Moment And Seeing Some In Schools Is Definitely A Good Idea. Keeps The Kids Occupied And Out Of Trouble. Might Even Save Another Life From Being Taking !
As a former Central High attendee and Bellevue Middle mahorette, we pushed for this to happen. I'm supporting 100%.
As a dancer, I as well believe that majorettes add life & spunk to a band. It also gives students opportunities to express themselves if other programs do not allow the expression they seek.
If I’m coming to dis school they need to have majorette it’s a power thing for us young lady’s to do & some of use need it for College
This will help get the young ladies involved in something positive and actually helped save my life.

Like the statement says, "majorettes are not just vulgar dancers," because they're not. Believe it or not judges at band competitions look at whether a band has majorettes or not. Majorettes and flag girls help the visual of the band along with the percussionist. Please allow them to have majorettes.
