Here at East Nashville Magnet High School, our school doesn't offer a lot. However, a majorette dance team should be one of them. We were told that majorette was too pervocative but with having a lot of African Americans here dancing is apart of our culture. For some girls this disables our ability for college or our future, we have a lot of girls here who have plenty of potential and talent. Although for a alternative we should be able to dance somewhere else. A lot of girls here at East really want to have a majorette dance team, so we all need at least nee the amount of half the school of signatures to show our principal that we are serious. Please sign! I think young girls need to be able to express themselves through dance and music. It would be wonderful for East Magnet high school to have Majorettes
I believe offering this program to the students will give them better opportunities an additional activities.
I feel this would be a good opportunity for girls here especially me since I am I majorette.
We can't go anywhere else and majorette duh that's why we're petitioning it , if that was a option we would've had been satisfied but it's not. Also we're getting a new band director meaning new music, also meaning new meaning it's time to change it up. We love the school and the education it just doesn't offer other things what if college not for you ? What if you want to dance in college ? How is east preparing you for anything other than just paideia seminar ??
Just cause they have a band doesn't mean they need a majorette team! The band is chorale style not show style! Y'all complain about what they play, so why y'all want a majorette team? The band is NOT a SHOWSTYLE band which means they don't dance on the field! They play music and get off! So stop complaining and go to another school w majorettes! East students are allowed to go to another school w majorettes!
I think that's a great idea and many opportunities in dancing for girls or boys be blessed by being a blessing to this school and bless them with what they hearts desire
