Dear Loyal Patrons:
We were forced to close, temporarily, due to the permits and licenses needed for us to operate. There are many new rules & regulations in regards of operating a mobile food business, many of which we were unaware of. We will be closed for as long as it takes us to make the necessary changes in order to comply with everything.
The majority of the issues we have to fix are pertaining to the fact that we are classified as a Mobile Food Business. For us to NOT be considered Mobile we would have to be connected to the building’s (Vanderbilt Hall) running water & sewage. Ever since the last time we were closed (March 2014 – June 2014) we have made several requests to the powers that be to consider allowing us to do so. As you can see that never happened. In order to make things work we had to get a mobile water tank & grey water tank. This has made everything much more difficult and we want to change it for the betterment of Sami’s.
OUR GOAL:
- Try to change the minds of those in charge so we may connect to their plumbing
- Raise money needed to make it happen
REASON:
- Being hard-plumbed makes permanent fixture
- Permanent fixtures are easier to operate in regards all the rules & regulations
- The easier we operate, the easier we can serve you
If you support Sami’s and want to see it literally become the landmark that we have become then we implore to sign our petition.

The momentum is incredible. This shows how many people want Sami's back in a permanent spot.

Sami's should be allowed to connect and become a permanent establishment seeing they have been opporating for some time now. They have loyal customers that do not want to see them close.
Love the saba family and their food. I grew up going here since I can remember. When I was sick at children's hospital as a child this is the place my mom would go to while caring for me. So many memories!!!
We love Samis! Hoping they are up and running soon!!
They've worked so hard to happily run Sami's for so many years! Let them keep doing it!
Please help Sami's reopen
Please bring Sami's back, it's become a staple of so many lives. Keep small businesses alive!

Samis has the best salads around! We need them back up and running. They serve the whole Longwood Medical area and know most of our orders by heart! We miss you
