A Few Years Back They Decided To Decorate All The Outside Of THEIR Property, For The Christmas Period (Just Like ANY Other Person In The Christmas Spirit) Since Then Every Year, They've Had A Lot Of Visitors Drawn To Their Property Which Is Located In A Little Cul-De-Sac In Cwmavon, South Wales. What An Effort They've Made Doing This. It Also Gives Visitors And People With A Warm Heart, A Chance To Help Ellie And Her Family, By Putting In Donations In The Bucket Outside, Not Only That But The Donations We Give Is Also A Way Of Saying Thank You For What They Are Doing For OUR Children....They Use THEIR Electric, THEIR Time, THEIR Space And Have Set It Up On THEIR PROPERTY. BUT....This Year They Received A Notice From Their Local Council Telling Them That They No Longer Have Permission To Do This As They Have No Planning Permission, Yess That's Right No "Planning Permission" To Decorate / Trim Up Their Home For Christmas. Whoever The Cold Hearted Human Is That Decided They Could Put A Stop To This, How The F*** Do You Sleep At Night??!! What A Selfish Thing To Do To Someone Who's Helping Not Just His Own Family But Hundreds Of Others Too, They Are Making Our Children Happy....
Ellie's Father Was Told On The Letter That They Would Allow For Him To Have It Lit Up Until The 16th December 2015, But It Had To Be Pulled Down On That Date, So He Rung Them, And The Other Inconsiderate Human He Spoke To Said, "I Tell You What, Because It's Christmas U Can Keep It Up, But January Is The Deadline!!" How The Hell This Man Was Soo Calm And Still Smiling I'll Never Know, Because Him Telling Us This, REALLY Gripped Me....What Gives The COUNCIL The Right To Think They Have The Right To Do Such A Cruel Thing!! I WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS, I Don't Care How Stupid I May Sound Or Look.
I Havn't Got A Clue If I've Done This Right But I Want To Fight Ellie Morgan's Families Corner....I Want As Many Signatures As I Can Get Because I'm Taking This To The Council, Or Someone Who Knows Better To Point Me In Right Direction Please!!!! So If YOU'VE Got A Heart, YOU WILL SIGN THIS

Seeing this kind of backing for Ellie makes me feel like the heart of our community is truly unbreakable. The council needs to understand that we will not let them stop this tradition when it brings such light to our neighborhood.

The council has still not offered a real explanation for why they want to dim these lights while our community is trying to help Ellie get her surgery. Seeing the local support build up keeps me going even when the bureaucracy tries to beat us down.

Absolute joke!! This is a privately owned house...hard working parents that pay their taxes & bills...&are trying to fund an operation for their daughter....not scrounging off the state....what is wrong with this country!!!!
I think it is appalling that a family who are spreading the joy of Christmas whilst raising money for a cause close to their heart are being told to stop because of thoughtless people. For shame on you Port Talbot council!!!
And this is the same council who has left asbestos outside our home for over 2 years. Goes to show how much they value our childrens health and happiness. They want to remember these children who they are stealing xmas from will one day be voters too. Leave the lights alone !!!!!
I've always loved going to the cul-de-sac around Christmas as a child. It's ridiculous! Just because he's making a little bit of money every year... Oh no, the council get to decide who does it doesn't make money! Best wishes for the family
These are temporary lights not even up for the the whole of December! They are not a hazard and planning permision is not needed. It is also for a good cause. DISGUSTED AT THE COUNCIL AND PATHETIC PERSON WHO REPORTED!
Please let them keep their lights, they brighten up these dark nights.

Councils need to engage with their communities on matters like this not oppose such good deeds. They are a body of people ELECTED to SERVE their public and must remember their true place within society. The failure of a child sets ripple of dire consequences in motion!
