The city of Trumann Arkansas is trying to make me get rid of our pot-belly pig "Gordy". There is an ordinance in place stating no livestock or swine. We have lived here for 2 years and Gordy has never caused any problems. Gordy is kept outside inside a privacy fence. I clean his poop up everyday, and put out an odor neutralizer for any smell caused by urine. We have had Gordy for over 2 years, he is an emotional support animal for my wife. I have presented a lot of information to the city council and they put together a committee to discuss the issue. They will vote on a decision on November 14th, 2017. We need as many signatures as we can get that are all for keeping Gordy home.

Pot belly Pigs are pets and should no longer be considered livestock they are extremely smart and express love and emotion just like dogs and cats please let Gordy stay with his family
If the town allows dogs as pets then they should allow pot belly pigs as they are much more safe for the community and children. They are also easily trained and more quiet than dogs.
He provides comfort as a emotional support animal. Pigs have empathy. He is a pet, NOT considered livestock per USDA guidelines
I am currently dealing with the same issue. These pigs are not livestock. Mine is cleaner than any dog I have ever owned
Seems like exceptionally responsible and thorough guardians to this pig; please consider what needs to happen for this likely very bonded family to stay in place.
Lets keep him he not hurtting know one

I say let this wife have her safe haven. Every single person has something that gives them emotional support. Some smoke. Some drink. Some eat. You going to take that away from them as well?
