We, Oak Lawn residents, respectfully request that the Oak Lawn Village Board deny any petition for a special use permit of the proposed Anthem Memory Care facility or any commercial business to build a development in any residential neighborhood of Oak Lawn; instead only allow and encourage such developments on property zoned for commercial development or multi-family development areas within the Village.

Updates

April 6, 2017

The feedback from neighbors has been powerful and clear. I am currently meeting with local officials to ensure our residential zoning stays protected.

No need in such a prime residential area,I live by smith village on 113th and western and while it's quiet,it has doubled in size without any objection and dwarfs the homes that now stare at a nearly 5 story bldg.

Not the right place for this facility. The people in this area have been there for decades. Have built where they did, based on the fact that it was a quiet, nice RESIDENTIAL only area. Plus, this facility will bring in ZERO revenue to the village. All it will do, is chase out lifelong residents, who have done so much for the community, for so many years.

I am all for a memory care facility, my grandma tied from Alzheimer's, but this facility is WAY to big for our little residential area

I feel if this is atrocity is voted in...then all residents should get a substantial property tax deduction. This is a BAD precedence to set. There is so much VACANT property that could use this COMMERCIAL development. Do what is best for the residents of Oak Lawn and vote against "special zoning".

As an life long Oak Lawn resident I would not want this in a residential neighborhood. Please find a commercial location, Beatty Lumber. I feel so sorry for these residents if this goes through.

I was originally for this building but after considering the plan that's been proposed and the impact to the residents, a 24 hour facility in a residential neighborhood is not something I can get behind.

This is just the beginning folks. Now they want license to turn YOUR family residential street into Commercial property. Pay Attention.
