HSU members are calling time on this mean and unfair government. We need real wage increases that reflect the work we do.

We worked through 3 years of pandemic in incredibly difficult circumstances, only to be given paltry pay rises by a government that doesn’t care. They will talk about healthcare heroes when it suits them, but when it comes to recognizing our hard work – and the complexity of the work we do – they’re nowhere to be found.

Our pay rises have not kept pace with CPI over the past eight years. That means we’re already behind – and it’s getting worse as the cost of living goes up.

We need a pay rise of more than 5% to just break even!
