The school board confirmed today that Rodney Sims is our new head coach. It has been a long and draining process but getting this result makes the effort worth it. We should keep an eye on the transition to ensure the program moves in the right direction.

Coach Sims all my son and I talk about is how it was so cool to play for you the yrs I got to. Best Coach ever to be coached by. Showed me some life skills I use today now that I'm a adult. You deserve this Coach Sims.
Like a father to every young man I know.. Coach Sims transitions young boys into becoming men.
Coach Sims is most definitely qualified for this job! My older brother and myself grew up with him as a coach and a teacher. He motivates all of his kids no matter what and he will NEVER give up on them! Good Family man as well!
I have had the pleasure of Coach Sims coach my son for the past 2 years, he has pushed him to see things in a different way.. As for me and my family we believe coach Sims is capable of leading the Dawgs!!!
I stand with many other Midlanders that want Coach Rodney Sims to fill the Head Coaching position at Midland High School. There is no need to find outside applicants because we already have the talent, the experience and love of the game and players in Coach Sims!

Coach Sims has been a mentor and role model to past and current students. He has not only helped develop athletes for MHS he has helped develop model productive adults through his dedication and commitment to his students and athletic program.
