I've coached with Andy for over 10 years at the youth level and in High School. He has also coached both of my boys. The only way to describe him is Top-Notch. He is an incredible teacher of the game and an even better teacher of life to young men.
As a Good Counsel alumnus I wholeheartedly believe that Andy is the right man for the job. His commitment and dedication to Good Counsel is unmatched in the athletic department. Continuity is paramount when building a strong program and hiring Andy will give you that and much more.
Played with Andy at Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) as he served as our team captain. Great leader and set the example for the younger players. I saw how Andy lead us and learned valuable lesson becoming the team captain in 1988. 100% leader.
Best coach/mentor my boys have ever had. Understands the balance between winning and discipline that makes for a championship program. Loves and respects the game more than anyone I've ever known. Andy Stefanelli is the only choice for the Good Counsel program.
Andy coached all 3 of my nephews in youth football: the eldest blossomed under Andy emerging as a productive wide receiver; the middle nephew became a standout linebacker and the youngest played both ways on his JV HS football team! It all started with Andy!

Not only is the right move from a football standpoint, but more importantly Andy holds true to the Xaverian values of Good Counsel High School. He is the right choice to be a leader of these young student-athletes.
