Many residents have expressed concern about the speeding on Claychester Dr. and along Fawnvalley Dr. With the high volume drive thru (Starbucks) going in at our Manchester entrance along with a popular restaurant, Circle 7 probably going in at the old Terra location. The potential of non-resident cut thru traffic increases dramatically.

Please support our Petition to ask Des Peres to make it a traffic violation for non-resident traffic to cut thru our neighborhood. Whether the police enforce it or not it will act as a deterrent.

This was an issue on the street I grew up on in Creve Ceour and the no cut thru traffic law and sign did reduce the traffic and slowed drivers down.

Thank you - Ben Sansone

Updates

March 3, 2017

The increase in support has captured the attention of local planning officials. I am currently scheduling a formal presentation to address these traffic concerns during the upcoming city council session.

We need radar and enforcement of the speed limits. 40 mph is not unusual on Fawnvalley, Breezeridge and Brookbend

I live on Fawnvalley Dr. The traffic during peak times is consistantly marred by drivers cutting through and most who blantenly do not abide the 20mph limit. I can tell from the way the vehivles bounce around the corner they are exceeding the limit. Worse are the service, construction, and lawn maintenance vehicles, added to oversized suv's that would never be able to stop short at these speeds. We fear for our children, who must be confined to ride their bikes only in our driveways. Cutting down on the number of cars rushing to and from Manchester using Fawnvally as the thoroughfare, would make our residential street significanly safer for both drivers and residents.

while we are at it, could we petition to add a stop sign on fawn valley at fawnxalley court to slow people down on the straight-a-way?
