Currently the state of Kansas only allows the sale of three brands of handheld x-ray units. Unfortunately, failing customer service and supply chain issues for certain proprietary features have made the approved models incapable of meeting the dental healthcare community's needs. We are requesting the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to add more brands and models to the list of handheld units permitted by waiver.

Please consider allowing other vendors who have proven track records to sell handheld xray equipment in Kansas. My understanding is that Kansas is the MOST RESTRICTIVE against others. The only vendors you allow are innefficient with repairs, customer service and quality!!! Jeff Lowe, DDS, Hays, KS
Customer service for current hand-held is horrible and repairs take months. We need options in Kansas.
Please approve this device for purchase in Kansas. This device is used worldwide due to its high quality, safety and ease due to it's smaller weight than the other handheld devices.
Supply chain issues and other problems have made the 3 handheld x-ray units currently legal in Kansas very difficult to purchase and maintain. Please allow us more options from other reputable companies.
Our only current option is not cost effective, has frequent breakdowns and poor customer service. We deserve a choice in handheld devices.

New models of these devices continue to evolve with technological development. Additional brands of devices should be added to the list by the KDHE as they are being nationally approved.
