As a Purdue University Calumet Student, I take pride in attending this university. I see so much potential in Purdue University Calumet, however; PUC seems to be stagnant in progressing. I as well as other students feel as if Hammond, IN should become a more welcoming community for students attending PUC. A community where students will feel comfortable enough to walk on Indianapolis Boulevard to socialize and experience having a cafe, or restaurant beneficial to students. A community where we are not just confined to commuting on campus, or living in a residential space confined to only two halls. Purdue University Calumet should be able to expand and I believe we have the numbers to do so.
