WE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR YEARS, please help us to show the school how important this is for so many of its students. For years we have done one of the following: hopped on the Golders Green coach, which only leaves the coach park at 17.40, sat in traffic for a ridiculous amount of time, in order to go on an adventure through Stanmore to get to Mill Hill, (do an awkward u-turn), Hendon, Brent Street, To get off at Golders Green anywhere between 6.30 and 6.50. Following this we embark on our second half of the journey, we walk across to a bus stop where we queue with a handful of the general public, before awkwardly standing on a full bus... and for the 6th form, having to pay for this bus. We then disperse one by one on our walk home (in the dark and often alone) to anywhere along the Finchley Road, from Hampstead to St John's Wood. This means we can tell our parents that we will be home somewhere between 6.40 and 7.30. The popular alternative to this is to take the Stanmore Coach, get off the coach at stanmore tube station and pay for a tube to our chosen station. On the Stanmore coach today, there were over 17 kids doing this; causing havok for the already busy coach and being unaccompanied on the jubilee line. Once off at their given stop many have to wait for a bus followed by a walk home (in the dark). Not only do these journies cost extra on top of the amount we already pay annually for a coach service to take us home, but it also means that very young students, including those from the prep are taking the tube home. In recent weeks we have also had incidents of having to turn around the coach on the 4.15 H12 service due to a prep school boy missing the coach, due to the lack of a 5.30 service, the coach was delayed by 25 minutes. These are just a few of the issues associated with the missing 5.30 route to Briardale Gardens, Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage and St John's Wood. On top of this group, there are students going to places such as Kilburn and Willsedon Green who would benifit greatly from this service being availablePlease sign our petition.
