Flackwell Heath is in the Chiltern hills. A lovely place to live with many residence being born in and living the in the village all their lives. The community is being threatened by Gypsy's planning on moving into this rural village. The land they are planning to use is firmly in the green belt and totally inappropriate for any settlement. The local council are being pushed into a corner as the Gypsy's use tactics to try and and by-pass local council laws. We need as many people as possible to sign this petition to present to the council within the next 10-days. We have a blog which outline events: http://www.flackwellheathraid.blogspot.co.uk/ RAID stands for 'Residents Against Inappropriate Development' and has been set up in response to a recent planning application that has been made for a Traveller Site in our village, on Green Belt land. We are a group of very concerned residents who have come together in a bid to make our voices heard. We are not experienced campaigners, we are just ordinary people with jobs and families. We are NOT interested in racist, abusive or aggressive comments that might be made towards the Traveller community. We simply seek to oppose this planning application by any legal means open to us.
