Gypsy Rose is a newly approved and properly zoned adult establishment located at 42-50 21st Street in Long Island City, New York. Unfortunately, the Community Board and a few politicians have expressed opposition to this use, and they are trying to convince the SLA (State Liquor Authority) to reject our application. Their reason is that they feel that this will have a negative impact on the community, although there is no evidence of this being the case. At the moment, this area is desolate, dark and dingy.  We have evidence that adult establishments, if properly zoned, as this one is, can have a positive impact on the local community as they bring life to the neighborhood after dark, they add security and surveillance to the area, and they bring much needed tax dollars and JOBS that directly benefit the local community. Gypsy Rose will be an upscale establishment, serving liquor and high-end cuisine from its professional kitchen and it will feature adult entertainment and burlesque-type shows. We are looking for your support and to be given a fair chance to open our business and prove to the neighborhood that we are indeed great neighbors who care about the area and its future.  We plan to work with the community on a constant basis to further improve the area and make it an even better place to live and work.  Our immediate neighbors have expressed their enthusiasm and support, so that we can open for business in the very near future.  Please visit our website or facebook page below and express YOUR support by signing this petition!
