South Tyneside Council finally killed the plan to sell off Gypsies Green Stadium and pave over our community space. We stopped this greedy hotel project because we refused to be ignored. Stay sharp because we are watching to make sure they respect this decision for good.

leave the stadium alone. its part of the coast and not everthing needs to be a hotel.
Ridiculous decision. kids need that stadium. stop building over everything in south shields!!
Really sad to see them selling off public land. we go there all the time with the family and it would be a huge loss for the area.
Keep our green space. once its gone its gone forever and we dont need another hotel taking up the view.

Absolute disgrace. wonder how much money they are making off this deal instead of thinking about the locals.
