I support the idea of a pedestrian crossing on Fraser St, Greerton Tauranga, near Pemberton Park and Yatton Park. If a pedestrian crossing is accepted it will be an advantage to... • The children from the childcare centres to be able to cross the road safely to play at the park or go to the library. • The elderly to cross the road safely either walking or on mobility scooters so they can go into Greerton Village. • A walking school bus will be able to be set up along Fraser St as it will be safe to cross the road. • During peak time traffic it will make it easier and safer for pedestrians to cross. • It will make it safer for those playing sports at Pemberton Park to cross, when parked on the opposite side of the road.

I am truly humbled by the messages I receive about the risks families take just trying to reach the parks. It was never my intention to lead anything, yet seeing how many of you feel the same way about our streets has been quite overwhelming.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how quickly this has grown. This momentum belongs entirely to you because you saw the need for a safer street and decided to speak up.

Fraser St is getting way too busy these days. I see kids and elderly people trying to cross all the time and it is genuinely terrifying to watch. Put a crossing in before someone gets hit.

About time! Way to much traffic here now and people speed like crazy. Need to think about the kids and seniors first.
