While our rights and how our legal processes work are taught in schools, how much emphasis is really being placed on this aspect in an already jam-packed weekly lesson plan? In order for one to know and understand the different aspects of our legal system, they first have to be educated on them and why they are so important.

THIS IS LONG OVERDUE. everyone should walk out of high school knowing exactly what to say to police.
my son got picked up for nothing last year and had no clue what he could say. school needs to teach this stuff instead of just memorizing dates.
kids graduate today and dont know the first thing about their own rights. it is honestly scary.
yep. knowing your rights should be a priority not an elective.
so many teens are getting into trouble just cause they let cops walk all over them because they dont know better. teach them!

The lack of civics education lately is a joke. Fix the curriculum.
