PETITION
- I urge the Board of Directors to maintain the 2024 Grandchildren Swim Program at Anthem Ranch in 2025 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 10am-1pm (Memorial Day-Labor Day).
- If the Board of Directors feels it is important to have lifeguards at the pool then they should develop a plan for financing the cost of the lifeguards ($16,000 for 2025) out of current Association funds.

I believe this is important for our community to allow grandparents and grandchildren/families to share in our community. If we need to take this to a vote to have this approved and included our community we should do it. This would be what we expected when we moved/bought into Anthem Ranch.
Although my grandchildren are teens now, when I moved to Anthem Ranch they were young enough to enjoy swimming with me at the lodge. This was one of the reasons I chose Anthem Ranch and I would love for other families to enjoy it now and in the future.
We have enjoyed bringing our grands to the pool every summer and occasionally during the winter. Please do not end this family event. As a former teacher, I know it requires every one to follow the safety rules, even the grandparents darlings. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
WHY would we now change? Most community pools have NO lifeguards in this area and they don't seem to have insurance problems! We bought knowing the rules as did everyone else, or they should have. There just doesn't seem to be a valid reason for this change to eliminate grandchild swim!
2 crazy notions surfaced during this process - calling this a club and "requiring" 3 lifeguards. Someone has an agenda. What happened to the family friendly culture? 9 hours of grandchildren out of 86 pool hours. Hardly an imposition.
I understand insurance concerns, but the price is outrageous! We do not need 3 lifeguards for that little pool! In fact, it seems that no lifeguards are needed as in the past, if we strictly adhere to the rule that grandparents must be in the water with their grandchildren! Our grandchildren cannot be here till next summer (2026), when they will be here for a week at the most. So we will not pay the outrageous price. but please do not cancel totally.
I hope someone looks at the bylaws to see if a recall vote is possible.

You allowed private donations from individuals for Pickle Ball improvements. You disallowed the same for Grandkids swim donations. Why? Precedent has been sent. The AR board can’t say they don’t want to start a precedent that already exists.
