The USA has a petition going, let's show Facebook Canada cares too. If you are an avid Facebook user (or not), please sign this petition so we can prevent one more toxic decision from being made. My goal is to get 5,000 signatures that I can send to Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook CEO) and Jonathan Heiliger (Facebook VP of Technical Operations) asking them to consider renewable or at least less destructive resources for Facebook's energy needs.

The momentum generated by this campaign is significant and clearly demonstrates a shared commitment to sustainable energy practices. This level of engagement provides a strong foundation as we prepare to present our concerns to the leadership at Facebook.

Unbelievable. Thought these tech companies were supposed to be smart. Apparently they dont care about the environment at all.
Coal?? Really?? We are trying to move forward not back to the dark ages. Very disappointed.
My kids deserve a clean future and this is just setting us back. Use your billions to invest in real energy solutions.
Stop destroying the planet just to host photos of my lunch. Use solar or wind and stop being cheap about it.

Ridiculous to be using coal in 2014 when there are so many clean options out there. Get with the times fb.
