The Holy Name of Mary Parish has recently asked Happy Tots Child Care Center to vacate the Parish Center by June 30, 2006 so renovations may begin. After exhaustive efforts and many prayers, Happy Tots has found a new home and has requested additional time at Holy Name to make the transition a success. We understand that Holy Name of Mary has informed Happy Tots of its plans for several years, and that Happy Tots was under a month-to-month rental contract. However 6-8 weeks notice is not enough time to find suitable child care for our children. If an agreement is not reached, and our Not-for-Profit child care center is forced to vacate the Center on June 30: o 75 children will be displaced (many are fellow parishioners); o 35 employees will be without employment and benefits; o parents of the children may lose their jobs without child care; and o two women that have poured their hearts and souls into Happy Tots, and the welfare of the children, will be put out of business. PLEASE DO NOT DISPLACE OUR CHILDREN!
