We are the parents of children who are attending GloryKids Childcare Centre in Vista Magna Kepong. For the past eight years, the childcare centre has grown from 8 children to a total of 370. The facilities here are good and as a childcare centre, GloryKids meets the needs of the larger community in Kepong, and elsewhere. By June 30, 2012, if there is no intervention from the relevant authorities, GloryKids would have to vacate the premises in Vista Magna. Despite the premises being designated as a kindergarten, we have discovered from a newspaper report that the Joint-Management Committee of Vista Magna have rented out the premises to Kolej Metro Prima Kepong. Based on feedback that we received, the JMC had done this without the approval of the City Hall Town Planning Division, nor the consent of the Joint Management Body either through the last AGM in December last year or any Extraordinary General Meetings (EGM). We urge the local authorities, including the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Mayor and the Head of Commissioners of Building for the Federal Territory to jointly urge the JMC to allow the kindergarten to continue to operate until at least end of this year. Shifting 370 children to a new venue is not an easy task midway through the year, as it involves new logistics arrangements by parents. Besides, the Kepong community needs to allow a good kindergarten to continue operating from the present premises to serve not only the owners of Vista Magna apartments but families with children in the neighbourhood. Please sign online to show your support. Thank you. Stephen Ng Representative, Parents' Joint Committee to Save GloryKids

The momentum is undeniable now. You are making it impossible for the authorities to ignore the needs of these children.

The JMC is acting like they own the place. 370 kids need somewhere to go. This is so unfair to all the working parents who rely on this center.

Need to stop this. changing schools halfway through the year is a nightmare for us. let them stay.
