Health Alliance wants to close Burbank Child Development Center as of Decebmer 31. This gives parents less than 9 weeks to find new childcare arrangements. Anyone who lives in our area knows that there is a serious lack of quality child care facilities around here. Disrupting the children in the middle of the school year is detrimental to their learning and development. We want to convince Health Alliance to keep the center open until the end of the school year. Let us have time to find other arrangements and give the staff of BCDC time to do something to keep our center open permanently.
