As much as we (the students) are in full support of the Fees Must Fall campaign, the fact that our recess is being done away with on such short notice is met with great opposition.
This is not only unfair towards those who were willing to attend class and write tests as scheduled, but also towards those who are fighting a battle for the greater good of students in general.
This is not only unfair but unconstitutional.
What about students who have made arrangements for this week?
What about those who bought flight tickets?
Those who have saved up time and money to visit loved ones?
Those who have planned study time accordingly?

This is unfiar for students who have mafe arrangements well in advance for this recess . Students live far from home , book plane tickets in advance . Who will reimburse plane tickets or holidays that have been planned for months?
We didn't strike, yet our very well deserved recess is being taken away due to a few troublemakers. It's not fair and we very much need this recess to catch up on studying since lecturers decided to place ALL the tests when the recess ends.
It is unfair for the university to punish students who wanted to attend class because they are too incompetent to apply their own rules and expel the violent and destructive thugs who call themselves "protestors" while threatening violence on law abiding students.
We work hard during a semester because we know that we will have a bit of a break before writing exams. Plans have been made to go away and we do need a break. Some of us were on campus to write tests and did not protest, but we are also being punished. Its not fair.
I have test scheduled for the 10th and 12th of October. The recess is the perfect time i have planned to catch up and study for these tests becuase already i have another test scheduled for next week. Please give us our recess.

I'm from Capetown and already booked my flight for the October recess. It would be very disappointing to lose that money that I don't have and also missing out on seeing my family. We as students who did not take part in this protest deserves a recess break!
