Although we share the sentiment of the current situation of #feesmustfall at CPUT, it cannot be done at the expense of students that want to finish the academic year. These students also have rights that are just as important. It is CPUT's responsibility to ensure that students that want to write their exams can write it in a safe environment.
This is a petition for all students registered for Medical Imaging and Therapeutic Sciences calling for an alternative and safe exam venue so that we can complete all outstanding assessments before the end of 2016. We cannot be expected to forfeit our holidays again as a lot of us have holiday jobs to fund our studies or travel great distances back to our families.
As a result of us not being able to complete our assessments on campus, transport will have to be arranged by the MITS department for most students to the alternative venue.

THE FEEDBACK FROM OTHER STUDENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIFYING!! I AM CURRENTLY IN CONTACT WITH THE MITS DEPARTMENT TO DEMAND A SECURE SOLUTION SO WE CAN FINALLY FINISH THIS YEAR AND GET BACK TO OUR FAMILIES!!

THE MOMENTUM BEHIND THIS MOVEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! PEOPLE ARE FINALLY LISTENING AND OUR NEED FOR A SAFE EXAM VENUE IS BECOMING IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE!! WE ARE KEEPING THIS ENERGY GOING UNTIL WE GET THE ACTION WE NEED FOR OUR FUTURES!!

It will be great to find an alternative if the strike go on. We had to write our 2nd year exams at the beginning of this year (our 3rd year) and it made this year extra longer for us so lets hope this petition will help us with our exams.
Please stop disruptions of classes and examinations so serious students can complete the academic year.
I am so so tired of this fees must fall thing!!!!!! It is just waisting my time... all I want is to get done with my studies,have so many responsibilities waiting for me

I really need to finish this year. I have been away from home for too long and cant afford to keep waiting because of these protests. PLEASE give us another venue.
