Because of the surplus of inappropriate quote submissions from 2019's senior class, Mt. Spokane's 2020 seniors are being barred from being able to have their own senior quotes.
We are being punished for the faults of students that have already graduated. This is NOT FAIR to any of 2020's current seniors.

I feel like it is unfair that a majority of the students are being sectioned out because of previous students mistakes/comments. Just because some of the previous Senior's made unnecessary/inappropriate quotes. Doesn't mean that we shouldn't be trusted. Even if we do lack of maturity with our senior quotes. We're are just having fun before we go off into there adult life. They shouldn't take that away from us.
It's stupid to take that away from the rest of us just get rid of the dumb ones and don't let them rewrite a new one. Simple.
We need senior quotes. It's not fair for us to suffer from poor decisions made by people we weren't involved with.
I am a recent graduate of Mt. Spokane HS. I came across this petition on social media and read the reasoning behind its presence. I feel it is very unfair to punish the entire class for actions just a few students may have made. It is very wrong to take away a tradition from students that has been present at the school for decades. It is, if anything, the staff’s responsibility to monitor and manage the incoming quotes. If one is received with inappropriate nature or connotation, take it out of the mix, and don’t allow the person who wrote it another submission. Simple enough...
I think its pretty messed up that our senior quotes get taken away because of kids who no longer attend our school. I don't think its that hard to just say oh this is inappropriate, and leave it out and that person no longer has a senior qoute.
We deserve our freedom of speech rights

I was in yearbook last year it was taken away because every year there was at least half of the senior quotes were inappropriate plus yearbook members don't want to have proofread all of the quotes it took three days for all of us to read every single quote. So don't complain if the yearbook staff doesn't bring back senior quotes
