Alice Springs' old drive in screen was toppled recently by developers who bought the dis-used site and rezoned it for commercial development. Citizens for an Outdoor Cinema were in conversation with the developers about relocating the screen at the time that it was carelessly torn to the ground... now Alice wants her screen back! This part of Alice Springs history belongs to all of us. It is a story that has only just begun and has a long life ahead of it. The old drive-in screen brought people together on common ground for over 30years, lets not let the acts of ruthless development dictate it's end.
