On the November the 3rd 2012 Flicks cinema in Clacton on Sea will close its doors for good. A very sad and tragic loss to the surrounding community. Over the years the cinema has provided generations with the magic that only the big screen can deliver.
Our purpose is to try and disuede the owners,or at the very least get them to enter into discussion with our councillors for an amicable solution.
The cinema is a safe haven for children,a night out for couples,a meeting place for friends and has had strong links with local schools and charities. A valuable community asset for present and future generations.
This petition will be presented to our Tourism and Community Councillor Mr S Mayzes.
Please support this now as we can not sit idley by and lose the cinema.
We can only try,no point wondering after the doors have closed.......What if?

so many memories here growing up. clacton just wont be the same without the flicks. please keep it open.
keep it open!!! where else are the kids supposed to go on a rainy weekend?
This place is iconic. Its a shame to see it go like this after all these years.
really sad news. hope the council actually listens for once.
my grandparents took my parents here and i took my own kids. dont let it become another empty shop.
