I spent the entire afternoon going through the old archives looking for original floor plans because the developers keep insisting the space cannot be saved but I think they just do not want to bother. It is exhausting work staring at these dusty blueprints and ignoring the emails from the council that basically say nothing at all while the demolition crews wait in the wings. I promise I am still fighting even if the silence from the city makes me want to scream into a void.

I really never thought this many people would care about the old theater walls as much as I do but here we are and it makes me feel like maybe things aren't totally decided yet. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this is actually picking up steam because sometimes it feels like yelling into the void in this city.

So many memories at the regent. my parents went there on their first date. keep it open!
I grew up at that cinema. its sad to see how little developers care about the community and the culture of this city.
what a waste of a beautiful space. council really needs to wake up and start protecting what actually matters instead of just chasing money.
keep the regent. simple as that.
DONT KNOCK IT DOWN!!!!!! seriously we have enough boring buildings already. save our city history.

This place is a piece of history. tearing it down for another generic office block or apartments is just awful. Brisbane deserves better.
