At Boston College, part of the experience and tradition of being a senior is reuniting with your class on lower campus and all being together. Unfortunately, for some seniors in the class of 2017, this experience and tradition will not exist. These are not transfer students, students on probation, or anything else, just girls who are crushed by the outcomes BC residential life and the fact that Edmonds has been closed. We want support from friends, family, alumni, and supporters to sign this petition and show Boston College that this is not ok, and that tradition should hold strong. We know there are things that can be done to help us - free us from 2000 apartments and let us into any place on lower, with our class and the community that we love and that we didn't think would betray us like this. Thank you for your support.

The emails I keep receiving from seniors living off campus are heavy to read because they confirm we are all feeling this same isolation. I have been spending my nights drafting letters to the housing office while trying to prepare for my own final semester. Taking this on has been exhausting but walking away from our tradition is not an option for me.

The uphill climb has been long and my energy is low but seeing these signatures keeps me going. We need a final surge to hit that first hundred mark so the administration has to look at what we are asking for. Please find someone else who understands why this matters and get them to add their name today.

The fatigue is setting in but we cannot afford to stop here. Getting to this threshold is vital if we want the administration to acknowledge that our community is fractured and deserves a better outcome.

This is seriously unfortunate. Let them renter the drawing. My daughter enjoyed her abroad and off campus experience knowing she would return to campus senior year. Please let them renter the drawing.

As a senior at BC, I was fortunate enough to be able to enjoy reconnecting with many members of my class who had recently gone abroad who had now returned to campus. While I lived on Newton as a freshman so can appreciate the separate but equal living situation, I don't believe senior year is the time to split up a class, particularly when BC prides itself on fostering community.

Though 2000 is now owned by BC ResLife, it is physically not on campus- not even close. 2000 was bought to provide juniors a BC-owned off-campus experience, so now marketing it as 'on campus' housing for seniors is unfair and clearly a result of poor planning in constructing the new building. BC has a tradition of bringing seniors back on campus, which makes this situation even worse. And although ResLife has tried to liken living in 2000 as a senior to CoRo or Newton, having a very small amount of students in 2000, while the vast majority of the class is together in one location, is much different and far worse.

My daughter Sara McArthur is a rising senior and is very disappointed that she will miss living on campus for her senior year at BC. Please reconsider. Prioritize the seniors to have housing on the lower campus. We are supporters of the Neenan Society. In the BC spirit of community please let these senior women live on the lwer campus. Thank you. Seniors should live on campus. It is their last year to be an active part of the BC community. This chance to engage with their class will ensure that they stay connected to BC as dedicated alumni.

I lived here freshman year and it was tough not being closer to campus. I would definitely not want this for my Senior year BC experience!
