A transgender male friend of mine came out to his school as being transgender. In unacceptance, pupils set up a petition to get him kicked out. Many signed it, including teachers. So now he is being denied an education for being a transgender. So now we, people of the internet, step in to petition to get him into school. A petition against a petition.

No one should be denied the right to an education simply because of being transgender. They are no less a human being for it and all those who wanted him to be kicked out should be ashamed of themselves. I sincerely hope he is safe, happy and well.
I have a transgender friend, and luckily our school is very accepting of him, but I know all too well that others are not as fortunate. It disgusts me that people would deny someone an education just because they were born in the wrong body.
This is seriously fucked up. Imagine how he must feel. People he's had class with, people he's laughed with, people he might've been friends with, now hate him for who he is, and are actively discriminating against him. It makes me sick.
No child should be denied an education because his/her peers are uncomfortable with their gender or sexual preference. This is an infringement of this young person rights. If I were the parents or the child I would send this straight to court.
I'm signing this, not because I know this person personally, but because everyone is equal and everyone has the right to an education. To kick someone out because they are transgender is a terrible piece of crap. It's just another form of segregation.

It is just so unfair how people treat other people... We are all the same so what should it matter who we are born and who we were born to love? We can't help being ourselves. I thought that we are supposed to "be ourselves" so why do people try to make us like them?

What, so now he stated publicly that he identifies as male and suddenly he's a completely different person who doesn't deserve an education? What's the difference, other than that now he's made his identity public when before it was private?
